Somehow June is basically over and July is already here. My how time flies when you’re having fun. Or, well, fun-adjacent? It’s summer but it won’t be for long at this rate.

Anyways, tomorrow we should get the official word from Sony on what July’s PlayStation Plus lineup will be. It’s not only the final Wednesday of the month, it’s the last day of the month period.

What games will be free for subscribers in July? We only know one for sure, and that’s because it was also free in June: Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will remain free throughout July so if you didn’t download/claim that one yet, no rush. The rest of June’s games will be gone on Thursday. Whether July’s lineup will go live this week or next week remains to be seen. Sony has changed things up a bit when it comes to the release date of PS Plus titles.

In any case, the rumors and speculation kind of bleed together for July. One possible leaked game is A Plague Tale: Innocence, which was leaked as the July PS+ game by the same person who leaked the information about a remaster and sequel. That makes it more likely than the other leaks, which are almost certainly not true but still make excellent possible PS+ games for next month.

  These are:

  WRC 9 (a racing game)

Uncharted: Lost Legacy (the only Uncharted title not to come to PS Plus yet)

Both seem likely candidates. Other possibilities include:

Far Cry 5 to help build hype for Far Cry 6

  A platformer like Celeste

A simulator game—Farming or Trucking or something

  An Assassin’s Creed game

Something quirky like Dragon Quest Builders 2

  MORE FOR YOU

It could be anything! What would you like to see on PS Plus in July? What do you think is a likely free title?

Let me know and thanks for reading!
